Well, it's the road all the carriers go to and from the mining towns. They ship all the mined gems along this route. Hence the name.

You'd figure they'd have direct airship travel to at least ONE of them.

I thought you hated airships.

They can't exactly choose the locations of their mines. The towns grew where the mines were. And as you get further north, airship travel gets more treacherous from the colder air.

It's not like passengers usually go there, anyway. Freight is the only thing that travels there. It's not like these are really tourist spots.

Rotoridginfram usually stays around the more temperate climates. Snow would weigh it down. The technology doesn't work over say, liquid water, so frozen is a bit of a concern. It will probably be slow going.

It's not like Fennic usually travel out here. Dia and I have been getting sour looks ever since we landed. Our technology isn't exactly welcome around these parts.

I haven't tested it in this kind of cold, either. It's powered by fire energy, so I worry we'll drain Arntta and Merric's energy faster than normal out here. But I honestly don't know any better way.

Nah, my fire aura keeps me warm. We're actually heading into territory where our fire magic will be useful.
