Yes, that's correct.

The building was sculpted from the stone of the mountain many, many years ago.

Have you ever expanded it? Or kept it the same?

Only rarely are any changes made. I haven't overseen any, and I doubt I will. Mostly all we need to do is any repairs on the roof, which usually requires a trip down the mountain to get the supplies for.

We live a very simple life up here. Our main responsibility is guarding the temple itself.

What do y'all do about food?

We grow our food. Over on that side of the grounds, you can see the exterior of the gardens.

It's likely a side effect from the temple's proximity.

Due to how much air magick gathers here, if the temple was at sea level, the air would be oppressive and hard to breathe.

But up here, where the air would normally be thinner, it balances out to create a climate where plant life flourishes. Likely why the nexus is up here in the first place.

Is there much animal life here near the temple? We encountered a great varying number of animals on our way here.

Not really. There's Beacon, who you've met, and we keep a small colony of honeygliders, both for the honey production and to help pollinate the fruit trees, but no livestock.

You are welcome to try some honey while you are here, but I must ask you do not take any with you. I'm told honey from here fetches quite a price on the markets below, so we discourage that.
