Do all the ships have cannons this big?

I think just this flagship.

This is the largest ship in the Navy, to my understanding. Other fleets have this class of ship, but none are as big as this one.

Why's that?

The military caste would be able to answer that much better than I could. I'd guess this is the largest because it's the First Fleet - meant to be a large, imposing force.

All I really know is the ship's size is meant to be a message.

Of force.

Partially, I believe so. But Lunism teaches that violence is always a last resort.

The ship's presence is meant to be a message in and of itself. A vow to keep a promise, or to protect the weak can be that message. It doesn't have to be about offense.

I must confess the other caste's inner workings remain much a mystery to me.

I trust the other castes explicitly. I know what they're doing is in the best interests of our nation.

I know you can't hope to defend without a weapon and shield to do so, but I do wish things could be resolved without violence.

Ideally these guns are never fired against anyone else. They remain a symbol, more than a weapon.

At least, that is my hope.

Really wantin' to stress we should capture the Air Army's commander and force a surrender, huh?

I'm more speaking on a larger scale, but I would prefer if no one else died, even our enemies, yes.

To be honest, I greatly look forward to the day all of this is finally over.
